Parish of Saint Paul, The Apostle

This is the sacrament whereby men are ordained to be deacons, priests or bishops and carry on the mission entrusted by Christ to the Apostles.  There are three degrees of ordination - the episcopate (bishops), presbyterate (priests) and diaconate (deacons).

The sacrament involves the bishop laying his hands on the man to be ordained.  A key element of the rite is the prayer of ordination, said after the laying on of hands, by the presiding bishop (and, according to the nature of the ordination by the concelebrating bishops and priests).

We Currently have three men, pictured above, studying for the permanent diaconate in the parish.

First Communion:

Catechetical Sessions : Tuesday 24th of April,1st & 8th May 6.00pm in the hall.

First Communion Practice: Sunday 6th of May - Time as arranged.

First Communion Mass: Sunday 13th of May - At all Sunday Masses.

Mass of Thanks giving: procession and presentation of certificates - Solemnity of Corpus Christi 10th June at 10am Mass , attended also by The Knights of the Holy Sepulchure.
