The very early Parish of Saint Paul's ranged from St. Mary's, Abercrombie Street, Calton to St. Patrick's, Coatbridge. Now, however , things are very different with the growth of many daughter parishes.
The parish boundary to the north is the south side of the Edinburgh Rd, going from Tynecastle Crescent to Tanfield Street.
The boundary to the west is from Hollowglen Road down through Budhill, along Earnside Street to Old Shettleston Road. From there, it goes west to Chester Street down to the junction of Eckford Street and Ardgay Street.
Ardgay Street forms part of the southern boundary of the parish with Balbeggie Street and part of Wester Road forming the rest of this boundary.
The southern tip of Carrick Drive forms the corner of the eastern section, with Mount Vernon Avenue running to Glenduffhill Road forming the eastern boundary. The rest of this boundary meanders through the edge of Barlanark to the western part of Hallhill Road and then back to Tanfield Street .
This now means that the main areas covered by the parish are Springboig, Larchgrove, parts of Shettleston and Sandyhills, North Mount Vernon and the Hawthornlee estate.
