Rev. William McGinley

Fr. Willie McGinley spent a very happy year with us in St. Paul's as Assistant Priest. He arrived in 1976 from St. Pius X , Drumchapel and while with us looked after the Men's Guild and Altar Servers.

He had many interests within the parish but the main two were his visits to the local schools and his involvement in St. John's Home. He had many happy times and achieved great personal fulfilment with his participation in this area of his ministry.

After leaving in 1977 to go to St. Stephen's, Sighthill as Assistant Priest he became Parish Priest but claims he had nothing to do with the collapse of St. Stephen's presbytery in April 1998. He then had to move to St. Aloysius, Springburn to reside in their attic as a temporary means of accommodation before moving to more spacious surroundings in the nearby St. Mungo's, Townhead.

First Communion:

Catechetical Sessions : Tuesday 24th of April,1st & 8th May 6.00pm in the hall.

First Communion Practice: Sunday 6th of May - Time as arranged.

First Communion Mass: Sunday 13th of May - At all Sunday Masses.

Mass of Thanks giving: procession and presentation of certificates - Solemnity of Corpus Christi 10th June at 10am Mass , attended also by The Knights of the Holy Sepulchure.
